This is my 1st year taking Spanish class and i really LOVE. It is a GREAT language to learn  and it is there helpful. The reason why I say that because where i live we have A LOT of Hispanics and I can communicate in some way with them. My Spanish teacher is really great with working with student and staying involved with our Spanish Club
Thank You

Paul

Who ever created this website is cool in my  eyes!!!!!!!!! :)  thank you very much for bringing Mexico to everyone, specially the ones who are wicked homesick like me.  I have not seen Mexico since 1994!!!!!!  I can not wait to make sugar skulls.  I with another friend, who happens to be from Mexico too, will be making lots of Mexican food, DIA DE LOS MUERTOS decorations etc.  IF YOU CAN PROVIDE SOME COOL FOOD RECIPES THAT WOULD BE GREAT.  I would love to teach others about Mexican culture here in the US. It is surprising that too many people don't know a thing about Mexico, who is a huge neighbor of US!!!!   I WANT TO SHOW MY PEERS THAT THERE IS MORE TO MEXICO THAN SO CALLED "ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS" I really hate that term, its so degrading)
PS.  I would also like a list of very well known traditional artists that sing in native languages like NAHUATL (SP?)(AZTEC LANGUAGE, MAYAN LANGUAGE etc.)

Thank you very much, and i can not wait to see what you will show next time.

My art classes loved concocting the recipe.  We will be sculpting the results next week.  I let you know how it goes.  I teach Middle and Upper school art classes.  They especially enjoyed the separation of the egg whites and breaking the eggs.  Very dramatic!!  What a wonderful art lesson activity!

I just wanted to share with you that I enjoyed your DVD: Semana Santa; Easter in Mexico.   If a Spanish instructor has a limited amount of time to introduce Holy Week in Mexico to his/her students, then, I recommend this product.

I'm a high school Spanish teacher in Stephenville Texas. I went to college to study Spanish. I feel very confident teaching the Spanish language but, I'm not as strong in the culture of the Mexican people. I can tell by looking at your site that I can order lots of videos to show and learn about this  culture.
I've never seen a site full of exactly what I need to make my teaching complete.
I definitely plan to order from you.

It's amazing how wonderful and full of tradition and art is Mexico!

I was born and raised in Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico, but right now I am studying Pre-Med in USA. I am taking an English, and my teacher gave us this assignment about something that represents our culture. As result, I decided to write my paper about Mexico's Independence Day because basically this event is one of the most important events that Mexico has. I was trying to find more information on the internet about this main event, and I found your website. "WOW," I exclaimed after checking out part of this wonderful website. I am so impressed with all the beautiful pictures of my country, all that amazing information and facts about many events of my culture, and with all that wide research you guys have made about my lovely pais.
Well thank you for making this website, which shows the world why Mexico is unique and why every single person who leave Mexico cannot stop thinking about this amazing country.
Thank you

Aaron Enrique Ortega Perez

I have been to Mexico several times and I just adore it!!! Que viva Mexico!
The people are as warm and friendly as the climat.
At the end of the month I will be putting aside winter (canada) and visiting: Mexico City, Peubla, Cholula & for the first time attending the Carnaval de Veracruz. Entonces que enpieza la fiesta!
Hasta luego Mexico!

I have found your web site most impressive. Your articles are very informative and very colorful. Yes indeed, my culture is magic, the more you know about it the more impressed  you become. I am a teacher in a university in Puebla (http://www.upaep.mx) in the language department. A colleague and I are developing a Spanish course for foreigners and also we are creating the web site. Now, I wonder if I could link some of your articles to my web site. Thanks in advance for your help.
Luis Medina

Wow! This website is fantastic. The educational videos is a must-have for every classroom as well as every home. I will be an ESL teacher very soon and will be working with Latinos primarily. These educational videos not only will make that connection with the American born generation with their ethnicity, but also educate the students around them about their fellow classmates. I am American born and engaged to a man from Guadalajara and the passion and love of life that is common among this culture is beautiful, how lucky I am to be working with these beautiful people. I am blessed. Continue the great work.
Stephanie (aprendiendo)

This is a great web site you have going!  Keep up the good work.  I am of Mexican decent and your web site taught me a lot of things that I did not know about Mexico!  Now I can teach these things to my children.

Stephanie

Your website is very informative of our culture.

Nancy

I enjoyed reading about the traditions.  Growing up we were always surrounded with them.  People's life change at such a fast pace, we forget what Mexican traditions use to be.  Thanks for the reminders, I hope I can continue to pass this on to my children.

I am so thankful that you create this page about our traditions, I was born in Tijuana, B.C. Mexico. I don't go to Mexico very often, even though I'm been living here in US for a long time, my traditions are always present, I don't forget where I came from and I encourage my children to love Mexico and I love to cook Mexican food and my children loves beans.

Thank you very much for the information on Mexican Independence Day.  I found it to be very informative.  I am of European Heritage.  On the 16th I am taking some Mexican treats to my sons school and wanted some information to share with his class (the 16th is also my birthday).  So your site was extremely helpful.  Thank you and God bless.

O Joachim

Hola!
I just went to Mexico city from Sept.3rd-6th. I wish we could have stayed for Mexico's independence day but that wasn't possible. However, I did see lots of venders selling flags and I purchased a big flag for 10 pesos. I keep thinking about what I will miss from not being there but thanks to your section on Mexico's Independence...now I know! I really liked that article. How much longer will you be teaching there? I envy you! he he  Goodluck and eats lots of food for me!

Tonya

I just found your site and am enjoying it very much. We love Mexico and the Mexican people and go there quite often.
I would appreciate having an easy recipe for "mole sauce" that I can use over chicken.
Thank you so much,
Janice

Thanks so much- This is the first honest to goodness time I've seen articles that depict the real Mexico.
I wish this was taught in our schools in the state of Washington.  People here think 5 de Mayo is the Mexican Independence Day.

Muchas Gracias.

Loved your website! The excitement with which you wrote about your country was infectious. I can't wait to visit Puebla. I am a first grade teacher in Massachusetts, who would like my students to know more about our wonderful neighbor Mexico. I have just started gathering information to design a curriculum on Mexico and happened upon your website while searching the internet. I look forward to visiting with you more often. Thank you for all the great information.
Patty

I like this site a lot because it brings back memories about Mexico! I moved here when I was 6 so I like learning more than I already know about my culture! I would also like more song lyrics in this newsletter!

Gabriella

I really enjoy this site it helps me learn more and more about my culture and I don't mind if you e-mail  more guess games and lyrics for Mexican songs.

Jackie

What a find!!! I got you by accident. Our Spanish class at the senior center would appreciate getting this page in Spanish. Our close proximity to Mexico gives us the opportunity to travel and enjoy Mexico. We would like to get the songs and histories in Spanish.
Muchas gracias.
Luis A. Jandro

I really enjoyed reading this newsletter and looking at your website! My husband is from Puebla, but I'm from the U.S.A., and have never been to Mexico...although I plan to go very soon. I am very pleased to see a website offered, telling me about Puebla and the recipes I really liked. Since my husband hasn't been to his native land in 7 yrs, it really gives me great joy to be able to cook some of the Mexican dishes that he used to enjoy so much in Puebla! Thank you very much for this website and keep up the good work!
Selena

What a wonderful surprise when I came across this web site! What a great way to share our culture with family, especially children, and friends. I look forward to visiting this site often!  After 20 years in one industry, I've decided to change careers. I am currently enrolled in college on my way to becoming a school teacher!  Sites like yours are very inspirational.  I would love to see info regarding the traditional costumes by state, and I would especially enjoy info on the state of Zacatecaz, where my parents are from and my sister currently lives with her husband and daughters.
Deseandoles mucho exito y buena suerte!
!Felicidades!

Hola! Hi!, I am very pleased with this site. I found everything I have wanted for a long time. I am a student of St. Gregory's University, and the president of HASA club, Hispanic Awareness Student Association. As president of this club I like to present something new about our Mexican culture and country every week when we meet for our discussion of events and services. I can say that this is one of the best sites I have ever encountered dealing with a certain country. Very good, I am thankful and I know I will be visiting more often. Good luck to all.
Alejandro Martinez

I like this site because it offers a great deal of information about Mexico. The information varies from celebrations, and their meanings, to the birth of such events. I was born in Mexico and moved to the United States when I was ten years old. I like to learn about my country. As president of HASA, a Hispanic club the university I attend, I love to teach what Mexico is all about. Each week I like to present something new about Mexico or explain about one of our many celebrations. I must say, this site is great! The site has everything anyone wants to know about Mexico. Thank you, I know I will come back to it when I have the opportunity.
Alejandro Martinez

Hi, I'm Kelsei and I'm in the 7th Grade,
I go to Johnstown school in Nebraska, United States. My classroom has one teacher and seven students, but it only includs the seventh and eighth graders. We are doing Maya Mural in just drawing. You should put pictures of the work on the page, like the picture that placed first.
I don't mind if you e-mail me,
I can bring your e-mail to my school, and we can read it, like pen pals.

We were in Mexico this past year, Tepic to be exact.  you need to know that I have never been so impressed with people as I am with Mexican's .  Our taxi driver was a saint he went everywhere with us not only driving but coming in with us to meetings with lawyers and bankers and such just to make sure that we understood what was being said.  He watched everything we put in our mouth so we wouldn't get sick.  The people of Mexico are your treasure.  The children, the schools we looked at the people on the street, your churches, the history it is all so beautiful and awe inspiring.  We are of course making arrangements right now to move to Mexico.
God bless you all.
Penny

Thank you for such an informative site. I teach a bilingual class to a second grade class in Miami, and have found your articles very interesting.
I myself did not know very much about the " Día de los Muertos " holiday, and was reluctant to talk about it to my students because I had a lot of misconceptions. After reading your articles, I found out how wrong I was and what my students would be missing. Thanks, again,

Hi,I live in Texas, an have been left a bell, the markings on the bell, are of catholic origin, (The savoir on the cross) and (Our Lady of Guadalupe or Mother Mary) along with the date 1810, MEXICO in bold, and the letters "FE" by themselves. The handle of the bell seems weathered and worn, and we know that the bell is at least fifty years old, having come from the interior of Mexico on a relatives trip to that region in 1951. What I would like to know, is there anyone that might be able to shed light on if this is a true artifact from the period known as "Hidalgo age" I have proved my e mail in hopes of a response from anyone that might be able to help me with this matter, or might know of any other bells from the time frame? Thank you very much, and the Lords blessings be with you.

This web site is full of good and positive things that we currently need to better understand the hispanic culture.  I truly feel proud of my heritage and it is exciting to see how much we have to offer people culturally amongst many other areas.
2 years ago I was able to visit Janitzio in the state of Michoacan and I was interested in knowing more on how the small island celebrated their Dia de los muertos, it would be great if you could write an article on it.

Diana Martinez.

Just wanted to tell you how helpful your website was!  I am a music teacher

Buenos Dias.... Qué onda cómo están?"
I am very please to have found your newsletter.  I believe your web site would be quite beneficial.  I have forwarded your web address to a friend who teaches Spanish.  I think she will like the idea of finding out how other countries classes work.  I was impressed.
Thank you for all your hard work and information.  I believe that this would be a good way to brush up on some Spanish as well.  I had the fortunate opportunity to live in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico in the 70s, but my Spanish is lacking for lack of  use.  By the way, I  Would love to hear from you, and I work for the Department of Education in Idaho.

Have a great day.

I just want to let you know that I am from San Luis Potosi, Mexico. I am missing so much my beautiful country. Every single chance that I have I talk about Mexico, its culture, people, customs, and food. Although, I live in New Jersey, which is one of the richest American states, I still miss Mexico.
