En el Estado de Guanajuato se encuentra Dolores Hidalgo, esta ciudad es considerada La Cuna de la Independencia, pues aquí, Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla proclamó la Independencia de México el 16 de Septiembre de 1810, cuando repicó las Campanas de Dolores de la Iglesia para convocar al pueblo y llamarlo a luchar en contra de los españoles.
