Museo de Arte Popular by Alejandro Linares

 

The Museum of Popular Art is dedicated to showcasing the different cultural expressions of popular art throughout Mexico. From Oaxaca’s Alebrijes, Talavera from Puebla, Trees of Life from Metepec to Tin Work from Tonala.  This is one of the newest museums in the city, inaugurated in 2006.

The Frida Kahlo Museum, or as it is popularly known La Casa Azul or the Blue House for the blue colored walls, is a historic house museum and art museum dedicated to the life and work of Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. Frida was born and died in that house. Diego Rivera also lived there with Frida, his wife, for a long time
