Sor Juana’s name was inscribed in gold on the wall of honor in the Mexican congress in April 1995
Sor Juana is pictured on the obverse of the 200 pesos bill issued by the Bank of Mexico. Sor Juana also appears on the 1000 pesos coin minted by Mexico between 1988 and 1992

The convent in Mexico City in which she lived the last 27 years of her life and where she wrote most of her work is today the University of the Cloister of Sor Juana in the historic center of Mexico City.
